Instances with shared resources (Sandbox) are suitable for testing, verifications and development environments. Their performance may vary slightly over time.
Anyone tried these out?
I'm tempted to use them in production in a Kubernetes cluster, but obviously not if their performance goes to complete shit for eight hours of the day.
The problem is that the cheapest server other than the Sandbox range is about $30/month. It's fine, since my spend is a few hundred a month, but I'd prefer to break it down into smaller servers.
So I guess the question is how an OVH Sandbox instance compares to DigitalOcean's $5 tier, or AWS'. I have a feeling they're kind of the same, but OVH wants to dissuade people from using the lower tier servers hence calling them Sandbox.
