Azure vs. AWS – Research

Hi! I'm an undergrad comp sci student and I am comparing cloud computing platforms for research purposes. Specifically, I am comparing the Marketplace, Big data processing - Data warehouse, and cloud virtual networking capabilities. The two platforms that I will be studying are AWS and Microsoft Azure.

For those who work with AWS/Microsoft Azure regularly, which one is better generally speaking for the following services? Feel free to give justification.

- AWS marketplace vs. Azure marketplace?

- Amazon Redshift vs. Azure Synapse Analytics?

- Amazon Virtual Private Cloud vs. Azure Virtual network?
